QuizFinder (quizfinder.com.au) is run by David Murrin in Adelaide, South Australia. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, why, and what happens to it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • Contact form. Your name, email, phone number (optional) and whatever you write, such as quiz details you’d like added or corrected. We use this to reply to you and to update listings.
  • Newsletter. Your email address, if you sign up. We use it to send the QuizFinder newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.
  • Your location (Near me). If you press “Use my location”, your browser shares your approximate location with the page so it can show the closest quizzes. This happens on your device. Your location is not sent to or stored by QuizFinder.
  • Site usage. We keep basic, anonymous statistics about which pages are visited so we can improve the site.

Advertising and cookies

QuizFinder shows ads from Google AdSense, which helps cover the cost of running the site. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ad Settings, and learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out spam bots. The map on Near me loads map tiles from OpenFreeMap. Links to directions open Google Maps.

Who sees your information

We don’t sell or rent your personal information. It is only shared with the services that help run the site (our web host, email delivery service and the tools we use to manage enquiries), or where the law requires it.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We delete information we no longer need.

Access, corrections and complaints

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your information, please contact us and we’ll respond as soon as we can. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
