The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia sits on the foreshore of Rushcutters Bay in Darling Point, so you’re getting proper harbourside Sydney with a sailing crowd thrown in. It’s the home of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, which tells you plenty about the place. Expect a club atmosphere rather than a backstreet boozer.
